So for a year I can't eat lemons, limes, grapefruits, oranges, pineapples, bananas, mangoes, sugar, etc? No coffee either?

Living a year only on Massachusetts produced food is an intriguing idea, if you like eating pretty much the same stuff all the time. It's possible, but not a lot of fun. No Champagne? No Kentucky red-eye? Are you crazy?

Tell you what ... I think it would be a great idea if everyone in the state could make one meal at home a week using only locally produced foods.

Think if the impact of that idea ... As for the press coverage, never do things in hopes for media coverage. do what you think in your heart is right, the press will follow. This isn't Hollywood ... :)

Rachel Ray, Martha,(and definitely sports) aside, here's a challenge for you: Is it possible to cook a Massachusetts dinner using all locally grown products 365 days a year? Big press if you can do it... Yep, software to agriculture....

It was called "French Provincial Cooking" or "Provincial French Cooking" or whatever. It's out of print, but I found a copy on Amazon a few years ago. It's not the one of a similar title written by Elizabeth David though.

I have it packed up in storage waiting to get my new place. Once I get my stuff out, I'll confirm it for you. Thanks for reading.

Well, I wrote this before I had connections in the seafood business in New England. I've been making this recipe for a long time and wherever I lived in the country, Costco consistently provided awesome fresh tuna for very little money.
